To boost the excitement and make the action easier for spectators to follow, each team wears a distinctive color from head to toe (from the players’ helmets all the way down to the horses’ leg wraps).
Spiculus will wear the color purple. The players competing for Team Spiculus will be Pelon Escapite (7), Mariano Obregon (7), and Sebastian Merlos (9). The team is sponsored by Don Graves and Marshall & Sterling Insurance, Equisport Division.
Mark Bellissimo, Managing Partner of International Equestrian Group (IEG), who organized and hosts the series, welcomed the participation of Teams Crixus and Spiculus. He commented, “These are amazing teams who add to the excitement created by the previous rounds. The four teams exemplify why the public has quickly embraced Gladiator Polo™.
