Pony Spotlight: Goose Creek Polo Team

Mar 10, 2018 - 10:19 AM

At every match we mention the players and the teams that are playing, but the ponies are just as important! This week we headed over to the barn of Maureen Brennan, patron of the Goose Creek Polo Team, to meet some of her 4-legged teammates.

Goose Creek will be playing in the Iglehart Cup semi-final this Sunday at 10am vs. La Indiana. Scroll down to meet the ponies!

“Pechocha”

Player: Maureen Brennan

Age: 9 years old

Will be playing in: The 6th chukker

History: Purchased from Mariano Gonzalez last April, she is Brennan’s handiest and fastest horse, and can get anywhere on the field.  She may be small, but she can ride-off better than most.

Fun fact: Pechocha leaves Brennan off of the back of the saddle every time she accelerates, which makes Brennan laugh.  Pechocha also likes to drink water right out of your hands!
